Charge 5 Battery Life Less Than 2 Hours

My Charge 5 is unusable.

I have all settings set to extend the life as much as possible (GPS set to phone, display dim, always on disabled etc).

I set a timer going when I took it off charge yesterday at 100%, it was critical at 6% after 1h13m !!

Not fit for purpose anymore.

Agreed.  Battery life is abysmal.  Have tried everything.

My exact issue.   The watch is totally unusable and it's only 5 months old. I contacted support and did everything suggested.   The bottom line and response I received, was that they are hoping the next firmware update will resolve the problem.  No timeline provided for when this will take place.   I requested a replacement and was denied.  : (

I sent it back to Amazon via the repair service, they sent me a brand new charge 5 so I’m sure it was a dodgy battery, had it on for 2 days and it’s 84%. Firmware update is available but I’m leaving it just in case.

 

Update: Still on the original charge, 9 days later it’s on 13%. Still on firmware 142.37. Hopefully after the next charge it will continue to be ok.
