Charge 5 Black Screen Suddenly

All of a sudden, my Charge 5 screen went black, however it is still collecting data and still charging. I tried a hard reset several time and changing the clock face. Didn't work and tech support said there was nothing they could do an offered a 50% coupon to buy another fitbit. But it seems like others are having the same issue? My firmware is 57.20001.188.58 but I think there is a newer one. It won't let me push an update. Anyone else seeing this?

 

Edit: Also saw the battery drain. Went from 95% top 16% in an hour.

Yesterday my Fitbit turned off.  Charged it… even tho it still had 30%…went black.. reset… done this 3 times now…its black screen now 😖

If it is less than a year old, contact support immediately.  I had that to happen to me and now the device is totally dead.

Just contacted support.. chose new clock face and it’s been on for a few minutes….but the green lights that are usually on , are not. So I’m guessing it’s not tracking anything.  I hope they are working on fixing this issue.

So disappointed.  Just recvd  an email offering me a 35% discount on a new device but you have to use everything Google—- seems a little suspicious to me.  I don’t use Google pay nor do I want to be coerced to use Google pay.  Don’t dangle a discount— I’ll just walk away — so sad 😞

Same black screen issue plus rapid battery drain.

Same thing happening with me.  Started losing charge quickly. Then I could recharge but screen didn't activate.  Still recorded data.  Can't get the screen to activate again.  It will show the logo when I do a reset but never becomes active.  Clearly something is happening with them and not our individual devices since we all suddenly had this happen.  Ugh
