Charge 5 Black screen

Hello. My charge 5 is showing black screen.  I have forced restarted many times. It did come on to life but again went black. It has life because it is recording the steps. But just so annoying. Can’t see the screen for anything. How to fix it?

It's dead. The battery may have very little power. Charging it won't work, contact Fitbit Support.

I have the same issue just today, but now it’s not even tracking steps. It has been on the charger for several hours. I’ve done the forced restart many times, the logo flashes once, then nothing.

One thing. It's impossible to replace the battery in a charge 5. It's sealed TIGHT.

Do you have warranty? Call Fitbit and tell them the issue. They will ask you to make the video and send them of the problem. Then they will send the new device only in few days. That’s what they did it for me

My charge 5 is only 5 months old and it did the same thing 2 weeks ago. I also have a warranty that I paid for.  Usually in the past they would help you fix it over the phone, take a picture of it and send it to them and then send a replacement out the next day only to arrive in a couple of days.  I called them 2 weeks ago and they had me sent my fitbit back to them and said that when they received it they would send out another one.  I inquired about it a few days ago and they still hadn't received it.  So here I sit without a fitbit for 2 weeks.  Things have changed with this company, I am very disappointed especially if we are all having the same problem then there is something wrong with the charge 5. I should not have to wait this long for a replacement when I have a warranty and this is an on going problem with the charge 5.

Is your charge 5 black screen or stuck on the battery display ? 
mine they asked me to video it.

I had a black screen and tried to reset it 29 times and it won’t keep a charge.  Customer service won’t help me as far as sending me out a new one. The one I sent back that doesn’t work is lost in the mail, stuck somewhere in Fed x land. It was only 5 months old

same issue as reported in this thread. i sent the fitbit charge5 back to european support center today
