Charge 5 Failing After 2 Months

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I received my watch as a gift two months ago and the battery dies within hours of having a full battery. Also while charging the battery I have to rig the watch to stay in a certain position to charge fully. This is awful. Did I get a faulty watch or is this the product?

@MBAM4, it's the product.  I purchased my Charge 5 on March 9 as part of the Ionic recall (and received it quickly, just a few days later). It's had a few warts, including a rash from the band supplied with the Charge 5, but I've worked through them.

I charged the Charge 5 to 100% on June 7 around 6PM.  Today (June 9) around 2PM the Fitbit app told me the battery was empty.  Sure enough, I tried the double-tap to look at the screen and nothing displayed.  So I put it on the charger and as of right now (4:30) it says that it has charged to 99%, so it's almost recharged.  I usually recharge the Charge 5 every fifth day, and it has between 30% and 40% left when I put it on the charger.

Question:  How long does a Charge 5 last?

Answer:  2 to 3 months

I've already chosen my next step counter (it's not a Fitbit product).
