The newest Charge 5 firmware in Dec 2023 broke my device. Prior to the update my device was working fine. Now after the update, my screen keeps going black and the logo coming up on the screen is a hit or miss when placed on the charger. I've reset the device, and gone through all of the tips I've seen on this site but nothing works. I can place it on the charger and it shows 3%. I go back in an hour thinking it is charged and I get nothing but a black screen. I purchased my device at the end of July 2022 which to my calcuations is around 18 months ago. There is no reason that this device should dead at 18 months. I tend to wonder if Fitbit's warranty is only one year because they know their products are junk. Not happy.

I feel for you, my Charge 5 suffered the same fate. It seemed fine for a few days after the update, then the battery started draining rapidly, and finally got the blank screen.

@gdio53
So today after days and days of getting a blank screen and the battery not holding a charge, I finally got my fitbit to charge. Once charged, I did a complete factory reset and so far that has seem to work. My fitbit was at 100% at 11:30 am and it's at 61% now close to 11:11 pm so almost 12 hours. To me it is still draining a bit faster than before the firmware update but slower than the past few days where it wouldn't charge at all or would charge and drain in an hour.
