Installed the update today, haven't noticed any issues with battery life previously so time will tell on that front but I am disappointed to see that I still do not have Google Wallet functionality on my device or in the app. Additionally I still don't understand why it takes over 20 minutes to install an update on this tracker (with the app telling you it could take 40+), why is this a thing?

How old is your fitbit?

It's about 2 years old. All my information has shown up again so apparently they fixed my glitch.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Like nearly every person on this forum, my Charge 5 now has a battery drain issue. It is taking about 12 hours to go from 100% to completely dead. C’mon Fitbit/Google… I would love to stick with you  but this is ridiculous!

I was told in a chat with support that a new update is coming to everyone on January 8 which is supposed to fix all the issues. We shall see!

That was what they offered me last time, for my 2nd replacement (3rd Fitbit). Yeah Issues with this one won’t hold a charge and there’s no way I will take that deal again. No way I would pay for. 4th in less than 8 years.  These watches need to last

I was hopeful that this update might fix all of the horrendous issues we’ve been having for the last month since the app and previous update. After reading this thread, I don’t even want to try to update it at risk of making it even worse/more useless. I’m already having poor battery life issues (only holding charge for 2-3 days max as opposed to the 6 or so it got previously, my heart rate is wildly inaccurate and all over the place, it doesn’t recognize exercise anymore, it’s not tracking sleep accurately or consistently anymore, and the time glitches and is wildly inaccurate out of nowhere multiple times in the last two weeks. When it does actually detect exercise, there is no way to categorize the exercise type anymore like you could previously. This device has become useless lately and Fitbit needs to get their act together to fix all of these things since the recent updates. I’ve been a user for more than 3 years and always stuck with the brand for some of the battery and sleep tracking superiority over Apple Watches, but being that none of these advantages exist currently, it’s hard to sit around and hope that they’ll resolve these issues with an update.

Ahhh no new watch faces with the update... I keep hoping they'll come out with the new faces when they say they will.  The ones we have for Charge 5 aren't great 😞 and with only two variations on the Charge 6, don't think I'll be getting it... Time to look at other options I guess, it's sad, I've been with Fitbit since the beginning

@MeaghanCR  Fitbit support told me the new update rolling out Jan 8 will include the new watch faces. Let’s try to stay hopeful! 🤞

I have 25 watch face options on my Charge 5. Tap on battery % icon in top left if main page, then under devices click Charge 5, then click Gallery & at top middle click Clocks. Do you not have that?

Yes @Cath1366  there have been these 25 for a long time. The latest firmware was supposed to bring new ones - I believe at least 3 new ones - but they are not there

Same here too! So over Fitbit!

My fitbit bricked in October and this update allowed it to start working again, however nothing is measured (steps, heart rate, sleep, etc.). How can I fix this? This item is seeming like a waste of money over the last months.

My Fitbit hasn’t been giving me a sleep score or advanced sleep data since the 21st, despite restarting my device several times.  Yesterday I had updated to the latest software update, cleaned the back of my device and restarted again and I still didn’t get a sleep score or advanced data again last night.   How do I fix this?

After updating my charge 5 no longer works

Wow! Mine is back to no tracking of sleep. Only steps.  Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

I updated it and now the sleep score doesn't show on the Charge 5.  You see it in the app on the phone and computer.  You should be able to see on the device like you did before the update.

Same here. Sleep score on app, and it shows up initially on watch then later disappears.

Firmware updates shouldn't take away things that Charge 5 had prior to the update.  Updates should either improve or add new features!

I still cannot update/edit my completed exercise type from “Workout” to “Ice skating” or “Rollerblading.”

This used to be a functionality in the app for over 3 years that Ive had my Fitbit.

I was really hoping this would’ve been fixed by now. Please consider adding this option for the next update.
