Charge 5 Hourly Activity not registering

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,
My Hourly Activity didn't register my steps until I did a reset. And although it has counted 1328 steps  today, only 174 show up in my dashboard. Why does my Charge 5 not transfer the rest of the steps to the dashboard? Can I somehow register them retroactively?

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Honi1982

Thank you for sharing that you've been having this issue with your Charge 5 and that it started registering your steps again after the restart procedure.

Could you please provide a few more details? Let me know if you're having trouble to sync any other information or just the steps. In the meantime, since you mentioned you're steps are being transferred again after the restart, you can also manually log a walking activity to override the data recorded for a certain period of time and  recover some of the missing steps.

If you're having other issues to sync your data, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems, and make sure to check the compatibility requirements listed here and to keep the Fitbit app updated to the latest version available.

I had this issue this morning. My Charge 5 was not syncing (it was a problem with the Charge 5, I assume, because my phone Bluetooth was connecting properly to my earbuds and my car). As of right now, my Charge 5 correctly reports 126 Zone minutes, but the Fitbit app reports only 64 Zone minutes. My calories did not sync properly either. However, my steps and miles are correctly synced between my Charge 5 and the Fitbit app.

Hi @DavideFitbit

sure, I can give you a few more details.

After I posted, I realized that it hadn’t been registering my pulse between 6.20 am and 8.20 am (when I reset it). And it had also stopped registering sleep at 6.20. I woke up briefly around that time, but went back to sleep for at least another hour. The last hour of sleep wasn’t registered either. I haven’t noticed any other issues.

I tried closing and opening the app a couple of times and tried turning Bluetooth on and off, before resetting the watch.

I have to say, that I find it odd, that it will continue to register number of steps, but won’t register when those steps were taken. So although they are counted, they won’t appear in the dashboard graph, because it can’t remember when they were taken.

I got the watch for Christmas, so it’s not that old, and I have no compatibility issues. But the app does say, with regularity, that it can’t sync. But usually  re-syncing or closing/opening the app will clear that issue.

Hi, thank you for your replies and for confirming that you already tried the troubleshooting steps suggested, @Sengfitness @Honi1982

This is a bit odd, but these type of issues are usually resolved by restarting the device or restarting the app (log out, restart phone, log back in). However, if you already tried all these basic steps and you continue to have the same problem to see your information in the app, I do recommend that you get in touch with the Customer Support team so they can let you know how to proceed. You can click here to chat with us online or give us a call.

Thanks again for sharing all your comments and experience with this.

I had a similar problem this morning. My fitbit registered that I walked 6 miles in that past 90 minutes, however, it did not register commensurate calories (it registered that I burned approximately 100 calories in that same time frame).

@Sengfitness Thanks for confirming that you had a similar problem.

Let me know if you were able to try the restart procedure mentioned earlier in the thread and if you experienced this problem again.
