After upgrading from a charge 4 to charge 5, I find there is no walk activity on the charge 4. Can one be added again?

@BikerBore Yes, you can add walk. You need to edit and customize your Exercise Shortcuts, just like you did on your Charge 4. Tap on your profile picture > Charge 5 tile > scroll down to Exercise Shortcuts. The Charge 5 is loaded with the maximum number of shortcuts. You need to remove a shortcut so you can add walk.

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @BikerBore.
Thank you for sharing your inquiry about the new Charge 5.
Please let me know if you were able to add the Walking activity to your Charge 5. As @LZeeW mentioned earlier, although you can track up to 20 types of workouts on your Charge 5, there's a limited number of activities or exercise shortcuts that you can have on your device at the same time.
For more information about adding exercise shortcuts, please check the information provided in this article.
Have a great day.

I am actually using the Run Icon/Activity for Walking, but I am actually walking at around 3-4 miles per hour. It records correctly I believe what would the difference be to put this under walk if any?
Could get rid of Intermittent.
Further, why don't they simply expand it to the 20 items locally that you support, memory? In todays day and age?
---------------------------
I actually joined form and purchased unit to test ECG Integration down the road if it works right and to track walking and HRM seems cool.
Love the device, like the turn wrist and double tap, took a bit of time to get it figured out and running and having to be initialized and having the software downloaded I am sure is an end user nightmare for support, as referenced in the posts here on this forum.
However, very cool innovation on the implementation and very simple interfaces and great WEB APP.
---------------------------
Figured out Walk Activity, simply get rid of one of the other exercises.
Question for Development:
Can you please move this to 10 activities. Many people would probably appreciate that. I removed Interval Training and replace with walk. Simply change activities in Fitbit Web Application and it will sync to your watch.
---------------------------
Never got an answer why you could not use the Run Activity as I had been for the Walk Activity since they do similar things.

Hi, thank you for your inquiries about the Charge 5, @BrendonHolt.
About the exercise modes., all the exercise shortcuts that you will find in the Exercise section are specifically designed to track the most out of each type of activity. The algorithms have been fine tuned to get more accurate data for each different exercise so that's the reason why there is a category for each. There is also SmartTrack. It automatically recognizes and records select exercises to ensure you get credit for your most active moments of the day.
SmartTrack recognizes continuous, high-movement activities such as walking, running, outdoor biking and elliptical. This means that if your tracker records your activity automatically, it should recognize the difference between when you're running and when you're walking but in case you want to track those exercises yourself, I'd recommend recording the run and end it and then start recording your walk separately.
In addition, some users requested for a long time to have a Walking activity or shortcut, so they can track heart rate accurately throughout the walk or other specific information they need.
Thank you for sharing all your feedback regarding the ECG app as well! And it's good to know that you were able to remove the shortcut and include another activity. You can find more information about this here. For the moment, you can have up to 6 activities at the same time on your device.
Regarding the option to add more shortcuts, I recommend that you vote for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community or that you post a separate idea for Charge 5 here; please include as many details as possible. This section is constantly reviewed by the team of developers.
Have a great day.
