Charge 5 Notifications Stopped Working

Notifications to my Charge 5 from my iPhone 12 recently stopped working.  I have restarted the device (both from the device itself and from the charger), removed the Bluetooth connection and re-paired to my phone 3 times, repeatedly checked that system notifications are enabled to the device, I've done everything in the troubleshooting article at least once.  I started noticing this after I tried to turn on a few of the App Notifications in the Fitbit app.  I have since turned all of those back off since they weren't working anyway, but the standard call, text, calendar notifications aren't working either.  In the past, when notifications stopped working, I found that forcing a sync fixed it.  Not this time.

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @jlmagee

Thank you for sharing that you're having this inconvenience with your Charge 5 and the troubleshooting steps that you already tried.

It seems that you already tried all the basic steps suggested in the forums. In addition to the steps your mentioned earlier, make sure that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app installed and to check all the compatibility requirements here. Keep in mind that you need Android OS 8.0 or higher or Apple iOS 13 or higher on your phone and that you won’t see notifications on your Fitbit device if you turned on the Do Not disturb Icon or Sleep Mode. Keep me posted.

I'll be around.

I have double checked the do not disturb and sleep mode settings. They are both off. My phone is running the latest version of iOS (15.2). The device firmware is at version 20001.149.11. The Fitbit app is at version 3.52.1 (1084).

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Jenna

@DavideFitbit Any other ideas?  I'm at the point where I'm considering either going back to my Charge 2 or buying an Apple iWatch.

I have just deleted the app completely from my phone and reinstalled.  No help

I am having the same issues and I have tried everything. To be honest I received an I message which I found in notifications on my Fitbit(charge 5) but my device didn’t vibrate to tell me it was there. I have only had this for 3 days so I’m considering sending it back

I am having the same issues as well.   I got mine 5 days ago and it worked great for the first several hours and then it stopped getting any notifications.  I have also tried all of the trouble shooting suggestions and am feeling like it is just an overpriced watch at this point.

Me too. I just got this 4 days ago and it was working fine and now notifications aren't buzzing, but they do show up if I check them. I got this as a replacement for my versa 2 that quit working. This is so frustrating! I have also done all of the trouble shooting the person who started this thread tried. It would be awesome if Fitbit support could respond to this and help. I am about to return this and also go to an iWatch. 😞

I’m sending mine back and going to try Apple Watch 😊

I think you might be right Fitbit support weren’t very helpful, never had issues with the charge 4
