Charge 5. Shocking

I bought a Fitbit charge 5 on Sunday.
What a total waste of money.
I’ve been on the online chat, discussing how inaccurate the device is.
the heart rate data is absolutely miles off. After I was told to reset it, move it on my wrist, it’s too loose, then too tight, the HR reading is still way off.
when doing high intensity sprints, it doesn’t record HR over 142bpm. My garmin and when taking manually shows 170+bpm.
the highest it’s show is 150 odd, whilst driving!!! I took it manually and it was at 60 to 70bpm.
therefore it makes ALL of the other data wrong and irrelevant.best of all, when motorcycling to work, it recorded it was a workout. And then when sat at my desk it was vibrating away, congratulating me on the walk I was doing with active minutes!!!! How can it show “readiness score” if the HR and activities are totally wrong??? I would like to know how I can return the device, and how Fitbit are able to sell these things that are clearly not fit for purpose, and show shockingly inaccurate data?

thanks.

Apologies for the rant. Just really disappointed that a product costing £130 plus the subscription can be this bad.

I totally get what you are saying, I’ve had mine a week and so disappointed.
apparently if I mow the lawn or throw a stick for the dog I’m swimming 😂

I have an irregular heart beat and it says mine is normal?

I can’t work out how to show the info I need when I set it to start I’m on a walk or hike, it just shows pace and timer.
It’s been May years since I had a charge, and these watch faces are awful and cartoon like.
not to mention the syncing issues, battery life, and all the other issues.
My Hubby just upgraded his polar watch, and honestly that is everything this should have been based on how I remember them.

I want to send it back!
