Charge 5 SpO2 disappeared and says need to install app

Upon waking this morning I noticed that my Health Metrics has gone through what looks like an entirely unnecessary cosmetic change. But the Sp02 now doesn't show and when I tap it, it says that I need to install the Sp02 app, whatever that is. Anyway tapped through to a page that's says Sp02 app not available for my device (Charge 5). Has been absolutely fine up until now with no extra app installed - what does any of this mean? My fitbit is up to date and I use the normal app daily and until now Sp02 has shown every day. Why the change?

I had this happen once before and had to totally delete and reinstall as if I've had a new charge 5. This is ridiculous and causes a lot of time-consuming effort to get the reading back on that has existed for years on my trackers.

I purchased a new device. Didn't have time for all of this BS and getting
no reply from fitbit.

Hello @MikeC.

To find your app version number:

  • Tap on your picture/avatar in the upper right of the Fitbit app
  • Tap on Help in the menu that opens
  • The Fitbit app version number will be on the page that opens

Sometimes, you can restart the Fitbit device and the new app will download.
