Charge 5, I have been having problems with device just going blank and screen wouldnt come up until put back on charge even though it had charge. Sometimes it would say it had charge and sometimes it would say it was at 0% even though it had been fully charged. Then i noticed ECG had stopped working and now ive got a continual red light on the back. Checked sleep mode and do not disturb etc all off. Restrted teh device and tried syncing several times. Nothing seems to help. tries cable button to reset. No joy.

My Charge 5 is doing the same thing. It's supposed to be waterproof for swimming. I got caught in the rain on my bike and suddenly my Charge 5 was at 1% charge. I charged back up to 100% and it lasted 4 hours back to 1% charge. Instead of the green lights being on in the back only the red light is on. I went through all the different steps of rebooting and resetting but no joy.
Now it seems to recycle / reboot constantly. Briefly the clock screen is showing but then it reboots, and the logo is showing. This just keeps happening over and over again.

I have given up on teh Charge 5 now. Mine was actually a replacement for the first device i had that just kept losing charge. The second one i had as a warranty replacement lasted 11 months with the problems i mentioned just deciding it had no battery life when 50% charged. The ECG stopped working and i had the incident where a red light was continually on. After it drained teh battery it started working again for a couple of days but was randomly just discharging and still no ECG. Tech Support went through the putting new clock screen on, rebooting and using cable reset but it didnt help. Eventually they said its was broken and probably the battery. They then told me its not under warranty as the warranty runs from when i first purchased not from when it was replaced so i need to buy a new one. A couple of days ago the Charge5 stopped charging completely and would display teh fitbit logo switch off and was getting really hot. I am an engineer so i got an electronics engineer to take teh device apart and the battery was in a really bad state. They suspect that water or liquids had got inside the device.
So now i am using my old Fitbit Charge 2 that still works. This was a great product once and now i need to decide whether i will take the risk of a charge 6 or move to something new.
