This began happening last night. My Charge 5 was full at supper time after a charge yesterday and by 10:30 PM, I received an email notification about a low battery. I checked and it was at 1%. I placed on the charger overnight and at 7:00 this morning, it was at 100%. At 3:30 this afternoon, it was back to 1%, so it's going from a full charge to 1% in roughly 6 hours. I have tried everything suggested in the articles - checked for updates, restarted it, turned off background functions (although these are the reasons I chose the Charge 5 in the first place), and nothing is working. Since the most recent charge to 100% (about 2 hours ago), the level is 74% already. Everything was amazing and I was getting a week from a charge prior to yesterday, and at that point, I had everything running except continuous display, which I never have on. What is going on??? This is a pretty new device and should NOT be behaving this way! Anyone at Fitbit have any other suggestions besides the usual that I have tried several times now? ADDENDUM: Since my original post (18 minutes ago), my battery has drained down to 60%!!!!!!! What the heck?
ADDENDUM 2: Obviously, the battery drained to 0 again so I charged it to full at around 11:30PM and put the tracker on overnight. At some point at around 4:00 AM, I checked the tracker and it was completely dead. If this is being caused from a firmware update, this has to be corrected, sooner rather than later. If not and my battery is toast, after only having this Fitbit for not quite 15 months, I expect Fitbit to do something because this is ridiculous!
ADDENDUM 3: Contacted Customer Service about this. Their 'solution' is to offer a discount towards a new device (and only valid for 30 days from now). My Fitbit is only 15 months old.... I find this offer to be completely unacceptable. What's the saying - Fool me once..... I mean, who has 200.00 to toss away every 15 months when this is very clearly an issue on their firmware end of things. This is very upsetting.

I'm having the same issue starting last night. My battery drains from 100% to 0% in half an hour …
Also Charge 5 - with latest firmware and latest app update.
I tried to reconnect my charge 5 - restart - restart iPhone - Nothing helps. I hope there is a solution to this issue since my fitbit is useless at the moment

I think it's from a firmware update. I'm having the same issue. Just started. Fitbit-you need to take action. This is not good.

Same for me. Problem might be as a result of their update which I installed a few days ago. No problems for 14 months before then. Fitbit You need to get a grip and respond to this issue

Same here, my Fitbit charge 5 is 8 months old… this is ridiculous. Support could not help as the app which apparently was required has had issues with android and iOS, so, I should come back „later“
anything here that’s properly working??
