Charge 5 battery draining quickly

Apparently this is hitting everyone at once. I see that my latest software build that is on my watch is 4.42.1. it was installed on May 8th of 25. This must be it. Would be great if Fitbit would acknowledge the problem and not blame the charger or how much we're using the apps or whatever. Some setting has changed that should not have been changed.

Hi there, @Elzo. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Fitbit device is draining quickly. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%.  Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning).

Would you mind confirming if your Fitbit device is the Charge 5 or Charge 6?  I'd recommend making sure that your phone's software version is updated. For more information, refer to Check & update your Android version or Update your iPhone or iPad

Again this Fitbit build was available on April 28 of 2025. That was pretty
recent, and this phone's battery has been discharging much too fast since
about that time.

Mines is draining quickly 100% to zero in 30 minutes.  I thought i was losing my mind and not charging it completely.
