Don't do it. My daughter has my old Fitbit device that I used for 5 years and she has used for another 2 years ... no issues at all with the battery or the display. There is a defect in this model and instead of stepping up and taking responsibility, Fitbit is offering discounts that don't come close to the cost of a new unit. I won't buy another one. And since Fitbit is now owned by Google, I don't think I'll buy any more of their products either.

It seems like just about at the 2 year mark everything starts happening with my Fitbit watch. Screen goes blank, battery won't last 24 hours, won't sync to phone. I have the 5 for the second time, and the 2 previous version and all started messing up. I'm done with Fitbit!! You can't talk to a human being anymore, only thru texting, I'm tired of it.

My Charge 5 was purchased in June 2024 and was working fine until about a week or so ago. Battery draining extremely fast. Went from working fine, charging it about once a week to needing charged every 6 hours or so.

Same here. I don't think it's a battery problem since before the update, my charge 5 battery still lasted until a week. It doesn't make any sense that after an update, the battery drop from a week to zero everytime I detached it from the charger.

After reading so many other comments, I agree with you. Fitbit/Google needs to step up to the plate and reverse the update. I asked them by chat if I can do it myself, and they said no. So, if a Fitbit staff member is reading this, when are they going to fix this so that we can go back to enjoying our devices?

My device is out of warranty. With all the reading I've done, this seems to be a problem for many that began with the latest software update. Fitbit needs to provide a fix for this.

After back and forth with fitbit support, try this and that, they offered a 35% discount. I guess this was their answer on my broken fitbit.
