I bought a fitbit charge 5 in January 2022 and I wish I had not. The battery would not recharge after almost 6 months!!! Fitbit replaced it and now the battery is draining on this with everything turned off after almost 10 months of use!!! For hours overnight the battery showed 95 to 96% and then a few hours later in the early morning the battery was down to 65%. I tap the watch and it won't display anything. I paid $180 Cdn for it and I consider Fitbit STOLE $130 of my money on GARBAGE !!!!
I would NEVER pay 5 cents on any Fitbit crap again !!!!

Welcome to the Fibit community, @Darryl_J!
Sad to hear that you're having issues with your Charge 5. I pretty much can understand your emotions regarding you experiences up so far. As a first step to hopefully get things fixed, I'd suggest trying to restart your device by closely following these instructions as timing is crucial for this procedure:
1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a power source.
2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charging cable 3 times within 8 seconds(!), holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait around 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on your device's display.
If that won't work for you, please remove your device from within the Fitbit app. Then reset your device to factory settings to make sure thta nothing is running in the background draining your Charge 5's battery. To do so, first open settings on your Versa 4. Then tap on About Versa 4. Finally tap on Factory Reset and confirm. Next set it up from scratch and give it another try.
As a final resort, please contact Fitbit support to get further assistance:
