My battery used to last 7 days and now it is down to 2 days since Sunday and nothing have changed (same apps installed, version 20001.194.91 has been installed since last year...) 😱

Hi there, @Géraud. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that the battery of your Charge 5 started draining since Sunday. I understand where your concern is coming from, I'll do my best to help you with this.

If you haven't done so already, please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this article to improve battery life in general, as this has been generally useful for other users. In addition, please complete a three pulse restart following the steps listed here below:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end if the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

The battery can last up to 7 days; because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary, but the battery shouldn't be draining only after a few hours.

Hello Maria, I've tried all of that and the battery went from 100% to 50% in less than a day.

In any case it does not explain why the sudden drop since my settings have been the same for a year or so.

This is happening to me as well. It's only 6 months old and now it goes from 100% to 0% in a few hours.

We recently went to a waterpark where I had waterlock activated the whole time. The screen stopped working a few hours later, then wouldn't charge at all. Now it'll charge and the screen is lit but it dies right away. Even letting it charge for 10 hours.

I used water lock for the first time yesterday and my reservations have proven right as now my Fitbit will not hold a charge for more than a couple of hours. On charge now for 3rd time today. 🙄 Was working fine prior... Hoping we can get some answers on how to fix the issue..

I am experiencing the same exact thing. Last week battery life 7 days today less then a day with no changes!. Customer service not willing to do anything.  This is clearly a technical issue on their end. Shame on fitbit for not standing behind their product.
