Charge 5 battery is draining too quickly

Pause before doing the Charge 5 update

The update rendered my Charge 5 useless. It reduced the battery life from about a week to about a half hour. As it is no longer under warranty it’s pretty much done and there is no undoing the update so I’m basically out of luck

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Dafonedude!

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working as expected. I'd suggest that you're trying to start things from scratch before throwing the towel. To do so, first sync your device to not lose any data it has tracked so far. Then please have a look here to see how to restart your device:

Charge 5 - Update, Restart, and Erase

If restarting your device doesn't improve battery run time, I'd recommend ersing it as described in the article I've provided above. Next set up your Charge 5 as described blow:

How do I set up my Fitbit device?

I'll keep my fingers crossed.
