Got my Charge 5 through Amazon on June 16, 2023. The Charge 5 had always been difficult to "wake up" but I didn't really think anything of it. Last week, the Charge 5 refused to hold a charge. We've tried all the reset things from the forum, and nothing is working. I saw way too many reviews on Amazon that says they will not help because of third party sellers. I replaced my Charge 5 (that died after a year) with another Charge 5, that now does not work at all after 6 weeks. I think it's time to switch to something else, with a better supply chain system, better support, and something that works a hell of a lot better than this.

Well, did you contact Support and ask for a battery test? That should have been the first thing you should have done (apart from the reset) before spending money to buy a replacement. It's always best to ask if there's more options to exhaust before spending money that you may not need to. The battery test would have been able to diagnose what was going on with your battery.

Read the posts in this forum. Your charge has likely been bricked by the recent software update. Hundreds if not thousands are experiencing the same thing. If that’s the case, there’s probably nothing you can do other than contact Fitbit support.
