Hi there, @Hasmukh. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 5 before posting here.

I've seen you contacted our Support Team after posting here and they've already assisted you. If the steps that our team has provided did not work, please feel free to contact them back for further assistance. Since you already have a ticket open with them it'd be easier to continue the follow up on this matter with them directly.

@RAHunter1 Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Charge 5's battery is draining quickly.

If you haven't done so already, please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this article to improve battery life in general, as this has been generally useful for other users. In addition, please complete a three pulse restart following the steps listed here below:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end if the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

The battery can last up to 7 days; because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary, but the battery shouldn't be draining only after a few hours.

Yes, I am disappointed that my charge 5 battery only lasted 13 months . . . 1 months after the warranty expired.  I like the charge watch, but it has to last longer than 1 year.

Having the exact same issue. It is like all the charge 5 sold 13 months ago have this defect. Very frustrated. Also thinking of switching after being a loyal fit bit user for over 6 years! Away on holidays and don't have access here to even get a replacement. After following all the instructions now it appears I can't even sync my watch to my phone so the time is now incorrect. Extremely frustrated.

Thanks but this did not help. Now the fitbit cannot even turn back on. It really cannot be that these devices have a 1 year lifespan?

Hii @MarreFitbit ,

Is that any service centre available in India?

So that I can repair my watch.

Has there been a solution for this? Mine started this last week and I have read, reset, recharged three times and it still drains the battery in about an hour!

I have done this 3 times and it does not work.  I have only had this Charge 5 for one year.  How can I get some help with this issue?

There was no solution other than get a new watch.  If your watch is less than 1 year old, then it may still be under warranty and Fitbit should send you a new one.  Try contacting their support (I am not allowed to type the address but try "fitbit" and "support" separated by a dash "at" fitbit.com) about the problem to see what they can do.  It sounds like this battery issue in the Charge 5 is a more widespread problem than I would have guessed -- I hope it was just a bad batch of batteries based on my previous experience with their watches but who knows . . .
