I charged my Charge 5 to 100% on Sunday, 9/17/23. Put it on around noon, went about my day, went swimming and turned the water lock on, then noticed around 6:30pm when I was done that I couldn't activate the screen to turn off the water lock. Looked in my app and my battery was at 4%, put on the charger which confirmed low battery. Charged it up, went to bed and it died again some time in the middle of the night. Put it back on the charger Monday 9/18. I think I even restarted using the button on the USB. Once at 100% took it off, wore it and it died again in under 2 hours. Charged it full again, wore it, and it died in under 2 hours. Left it off overnight because clearly something is wrong. Called customer support today, got the runaround-we restarted, we looked at my settings, and now I have to charge it and make sure I sync with the phone app up to 9 times a day and call back where allegedly they will have more information and data. In the past 3 days I've been checking the app and syncing so why doesn't Fitbit have that data available? My watch has held a charge for 5-6 days up until this past weekend. Btw this watch was purchased March 2023. Now reading other comments I see this is actually quite common for the battery to suddenly start dying rapidly. It's running firmware version 57.20001.188.58, I seen any update and when I try to check for one it doesn't look like there's one available.

Hello @jsmnplgr
When the battery in my Charge 5 started rapidly losing power, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. This process finally got my Charge 5 "unstuck" and the battery went back to lasting 6-7 days. This might be something to try, if you haven't already done so.
One of the users wrote a detailed post explaining what they did when their Charge 5 had rapid battery loss. Maybe there's in that post which could help you: Possible fix for Charge 5 rapid battery drain
If none of these troubleshooting steps are successful, you should contact Fitbit support

To add to this, mine started doing this on Sunday as well, now its Wednesday. I have notice that it says very low battery like 11% when I wake up in morning after fully charging, but when I put it on charger its says it has 40 - 50% battery life left. This is weird it is happening with many around the same time. Done everything in the help forums I find and still no progress.

I did there restart/change some settings/sync with phone app, then finally was able to get through to customer support via chat. They confirmed that the battery is draining quickly and wanted proof of purchase. I got it through Amazon and was able to send a screenshot of the order, and today they sent me an email about a replacement or discount on a different model! After my first encounter with their customer support I was surprised they were going to honor a warranty. Hopefully this replacement isn't a dud!

Same story here. Never a problem then a couple of days ago started the fast discharge. Not as fast as yours but less than 24 hours vs a week or so. Mine's about 15 months old and never had a problem. Having to go through the same process as you with Support as they say not enough info even though it syncs regularly with my phone. I'm also on the same firmware. Frustrating to say the least.
