Hi, I bought a Charge 5 this week. The battery was at less than 50% and lasted 3 days. Yesterday I charged for the first time and the battery dies in 5-6 hours. Nothing has changed in the settings, the device is updated and synced. I alcannot find customer support contact and keep being redirected to forums and I really do not need any device that causes so much trouble on the onset. If I need to charge it several times per days I just don’t see the purpose

You can find a list of support contacts at the link above. Go down to the bottom of the page and find the country you are in and it will list a phone number and chat options,
Otherwise have you tried restarting the FitBit? Or other troubleshooting steps?

Thanks for your reply, I was getting quite frustrated yesterday. I had tried all the tips I found and at the end I did a restart of the device and then tried something else I found - a restart while the device is on the charger. The instruction someone posted was to press 1 second intervals 3 times on the USB end of the charger. The device seems to be behaving a bit better this morning, I hope this solves it. Not too happy though with all this hassle and trying to figure out what is wrong, I am in my 30 day purchase, so if the problems continue I think I will just return it.

Hi there, @Slavast. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is still having battery issues. I understand where your concern is coming from. We're here to help! @Daisy1972 Thank you so much for your input.
Please note that sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working. Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.
When it has had two hours, try restarting your Charge 5. I would recommend trying this maybe twice in a row if a first try doesn’t work.
As for the battery draining quickly, please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this article to improve battery life in general, as this has been generally useful for other users.
