My Charge 5 was on swim mode when it ran out of battery.
Now I can feel it vibrate and the app shows it is connected. But the screen is black.
I have tried resetting it using the button on the usb plug. I have tried changing the watch face using the app. Nothing has worked.

Even if your device is on swim mode or the water lock is on, your should still be able to turn on the screen. In this case, since you already tried the restart procedure with the charging cable and you continue to experience the same problem with the display not responding, I recommend that you get in touch with the Customer Support team for further assistance with this.
