Charge 5 blank screen

My Charge 5 currently has a blank screen and is not responding, but the green light at the back is steadily on. I have tried pressing the button on the charging cable and no response.  Before it went dead, for a couple days it would not give a heart rate reading and then minutes before it went dead the contrast on the screen looked wonky. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I have the same issue - blank screen. Tried with pressing the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times, pausing for 1 second between presses. Waited 10 seconds but Fitbit logo is not appearing. It is still blank. I appreciate any help.

The support team was no help whatsoever. They went through the usual
corrective steps which can be found through a simple google search ie.
press the button on the charger 3 times, etc, then essentially said "Welp
there is nothing more we can do for you." It has been such a disappointing
interaction with the "support team" who really offered no support. Their
product was clearly faulty since it just blanked out in a very short period
of time for no reason and they are not willing to make it right.
