My Fitbit Charge 5 had been functioning normally for an extended period, but it suddenly went black yesterday afternoon. The device had been fully charged the day before, but now the screen won’t turn on, it’s no longer syncing with my phone, and attempts to restart it using the USB charging cable have failed. At this point, the device is completely unrespo.

Best AnswerSimilar issue here. I think it’s begun since I updated the app to v4.45 yesterday. The Fitbit won’t charge or restart, I just get the flashing logo and vibration on the pebble screen when it’s plugged into the power cable. Can’t see how to report this to Google but it’s clearly a bug.
I also have the same issues, and I can't find anyway to contact fitbit since they've been bought by Google. It's making me to give up with fitbit and cancel my subscription, as its useless!!

Best AnswerI did an online chat with Fitbit support on here. They can’t do anything to help, though they did try, and they did offer a discount code off a new tracker. They said they would report it to the developers in case it is a bug, but I think it’s too late for us now.

What button on the charger? My charger does not have a button. I have done the factory reset multiple times with varying results, and still end up with a totally blank screen. I am ready to bag Fitbit, for sure.

There's a small inset button on the charging cable that came with your Charge 5. This help page (<-- click) has the 3 ways to restart your Charge 5.

Have you had a chance to check the Settings tile on your Charge 5 and confirm that Heart rate is turned on? It might have gotten turned off somehow.
