Charge 5 blank screen

My fitbit charge 5 has a constant black screen. It won't force reboot - the device vibrates as it should but the screen remains black, so the logo etc doesn't appear as it should. The green light of the sensor is also on, the device is fully charged and connects to my app but the screen remains black all the time. I have also tried another suggestion of changing the clock face.. This has updated but again the screen is black. Any ideas what this could be and how I can solve it? Thanks.

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working as expected. The way you've described it, your attempt(s) to restart your device have worked. So, all in all, I'd assume that your Charge 5 is defective.
