Charge 5 blank screen

My screen doesn’t world and red light on back flashing…tried changing clock face and Fitbit logo appears and then black screen…

Hi there, @MDM1932. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Charge 5 is still showing a blank screen despite the steps you've tried. I'll do my best to help you. 

To better assist you, please make sure you've restarted your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device?. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

If the above doesn't work and you keep getting the Fitbit logo only, please try the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Charge 5 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app. 
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Charge 5 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.

Hi I’ve managed to get the screen working but no data seems to be recording steps, HR everything stays at zero. I tried sitting it down and then manually syncing in IPhone app…cleaned the back sensors to no avail

Hello, 

I was having the same problem except at first I couldn’t even see the fitbit logo on my Charge5. After following the steps in this thread many times, Finally I can see on my Fitbit Charge 5 a clock but there was no swipe-ability (cannot swipe up/ down / across or tap to get to other apps).  I’m also trying to change the clock face again and it keeps popping up a warning that says "Unable to connect to Device Error connecting with Device. Please make sure your fitbit is nearby and powered on and then pleas try again” however I see the watch restarting (fit bit logo comes on then goes back to original clock face each time i try to change the clock face.   
The charge that the watch shows has changed in the last 10 to15 min from 100% - 77%.   Firmware updated today (and problems started today) - current firmware in fit app is Firmware Version 57.20001.194.91. 
Is there anything else I can do to fix the issue with no swipe-ability (cannot swipe up/ down / across or tap to get to other apps)?   
I cannot find my receipt - I think it’s about 2 years old.

App says I have 86% battery. Black screen. Did all of the above. Still nothing. Have had exactly 1 year

boat but it’s 14 months old. Fully charged. Tried all of above advice. Nothing. Zilch. Wasted my $$ on this% Probably
