Hey folks, I have the black screen of death on my Charge 5 (Yes, I have done the charger plug in, hold button three times, one second in between countless times) to no avail.
It is still recording data, I can still sync it, I can't see the "watch face." I have done countless google searches, all give the above suggestion, but that's not working. Anyone have any other ideas for me? I hit the one year mark in 9 days, so ...
It seems this happens every time my fit bit hits the one year mark, in all honesty, I haven't gotten but one past the one year mark. I don't get it. Except that I like the data so much, I should switch over.
Thanks, JJ

My wife’s Charge 5 and my Charge 2 both have this same issue that started this last weekend. Nothing we do has been able to fix it. Charge 2 will synch but Charge 5 won’t. Since trackers are over 1 year old there is no help from support. I had a Charge 5 that died last month(flashing green lights quit working). Contacted support and they offered $35 off new tracker. Done with Fitbit as have had it with Google changes.

seems they are sending me a new one, as it is not fixable.

Bummer, I don't get it, I just went through and I have 8 fitbits since 2016, basically they all do this around 1 year, I did have one last 18 months.
Mine was still under warranty by 2 weeks, so they are replacing it, sorry you got $35 only, I do think I may need to consider moving to another platform and device. The google changes have been a bit frustrating, as I found none of the links it would give me for warranty went to warranty, it was a wild goose chase!
