Charge 5 - can't charge

This is my 2nd fitbit and both died after two years. This one will not charge. I have done the restart/bought new cables and nothing. Can anyone give lme some help on this or do I just buy another brand.

I'm sick of the fitbits quitting after only a couple of years! I thought
this one was supposed to be more reliable.

Thank you for reporting that your Charge 5's are not charging and for all your efforts.

I suggest you try to do this:

  • Clean the contacts of the watch with a toothbrush and fresh water and gently clean the pins on the charging cable with a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol.
  • After that, charge the watch for 30 minutes using a different USB port on a computer or other UL-certified wall charger.

Thanks for the update - and yes I did all those things. I bought a new cable as well but will be looking for another type of smartwatch in the future. Buying a new fitbit every two years is not feasible.
