Owned the Charge 5 for more than a year and never really had a problem with it. However, since last week, everytime I unplug it from the charger, it will always die and battery will go back to 1% when I connect it back to the charger.
It's useless for a couple of days now. And all troubleshooting given by customer support were tried to no avail. So Fitbit just offered 35% discount without telling me exactly what's wrong and the solution.
To me that is unacceptable. It seems that Fitbit knows about this glitch in their products and just crossing fingers that consumers will let it go and buy again with a discount with them for more revenue.
Hell no! I will never buy Fitbit again as they never gave any assurance that this problem won't ever happen again in any of their products.

Hi, @Aman2110 , it sounds like your Charge 5 may not have completely dried out. I would recommend putting it in a bag of uncooked rice for a few more days before trying to charge it again. The rice will help absorb the moisture.
Good luck!

The Charge 5 is sold as a SWIM TRACKER. It is sold to be used in the water.
If it is wet inside, forget the rice.
Call customer service and ask for your defective product to be replaced immediately.

Hi, @Surfista , the OP mentioned that her Fitbit is more than a year old, which means that in most jurisdictions it will no longer under warranty. Over time many factors can influence water resistance, including hand creams and general wear and tear. An older Fitbit that loses its water resistance was not necessarily defective.
In the case of a Fitbit out of warranty the rice trick is the best advice.
