Charge 5 dead 13 months after purchase

2nd time I had a Fitbit die one month out of warranty. I've been on chat support and tried all suggestions to recover it. Not able to do so. And I am (curiously) one month out-of-warranty AGAIN when this one died. My first one lasted for several years until the non-changeable band broke. It seemed a good time to replace it with a newer device. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Leaving Fitbit for good now.

Side note: found this on another forum: "If your Fitbit is still under warranty (1 year in most areas, 2 years in Europe)". Too bad I don't live in Europe.

My charge five went black as well. Call customer service they told me I was out of warranty then they gave me a 35% off code to purchase another one but they only have white in stock, not happy.

My charge 5 died 15 months after purchase. BS from customer service giving 35% discount on another one, after being a Fitbit user for 10 years. Not any more. Seems coincidental with new firmware update.

I got the same reply with the 35% off. Nope.

I have the same thoughts, though I kept ignoring the upgrade. I really think the upgrade is what killed by prior Fitbit. I was hoping to escape that fate for my Charge 5, but it is curiously and mysteriously now just dead...1 month out of warranty.

This is my second Fitbit to die in the month after warranty. If I can’t fix this one there won’t be a third. This is ridiculous.
