My died to after the update also but Fitbit is denying any problems with the update, and their solution is to go out and spend more money on a new piece of garbage with a 50% discount.
if your is lest that a year old you may get a brand new piece of garbage .. 🙂

Exactly the same here.
I bought a charge 5 1 year ago after having a charge 4 before from which the belt broke.
After 5 months the screen stopped working, after contacting support they sent a new one.
Again 5 to 6 months later exactly the same happened. Again they send me a new one.
So I have already my 3rd charge 5 which worked for less than 1 month! It's dead at all won't charge and wont even hard reset vibrating when I press the reset button on charging cable.
Indeed they only offer a replacement or a 50% discount, BUT NOT on a charge 6. I don't want another ugly fitbit device, and also not a 4th charge 5 which will break soon again.
Another surprising thing is that customer support isn't available at all anymore in The Netherlands. You can only contact them by X (Twitter) which I don't have.
What a shame! I really like the charge before, but fitbit really disappoint their customers right now and looses my trust
