Charge 5 deletes progress

I went for a walk at lunch today and used the walking Exercise function.  I started and stopped the exercise at the start and end of the walk.  When I got back to my desk I saw the steps ~6800  on both the Charge and the phone app. I had my phone with me during the walk.  I then accidentally swiped down on the phone app and it did a sync because of that, but then everything went to zero for the day on the charge. All progress today disappeared. Has anyone experienced this?

Welcome to the Community forums, @bdmccue

I appreciate all the information provided about the problem you experienced with your Charge 5.

Let me know if you've experienced this inconvenience with other activities or if it happened only this one time. In the meantime, make sure that you've completed a three pulse restart procedure following these steps:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times, pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

In addition, sync your device with your account again and if you're still not seeing your activity, please try the following:

  • Log out from the app.
  • Clear Cache and Cookies for the Fitbit app on your phone's settings
  • Restart your phone.
  • Log back in to check if you're able to see your information.

Hope this helps, I'll be around.
