I wore my Charge 5 while swimming and it died forever. Now I have a Charge 5 and need assurance that the same thing won't happen since both of them are supposed to be wearable while swimming. Has anyone worn it in water without issue?

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Lolaallen.
Thank you for sharing all these details about the issue you experienced with your Charge 5.
As you mentioned earlier, the Charge 5 is water-resistant to 50 meters and you should be able to use it to track your swimming without any problem. I've been informed that you already contacted the Customer Support team for further assistance with this. In this case, they will let you know how to proceed.
Have a good day.

I have owned a Fitbit Charge 5 for about a year now…no problems…till now. I went swimming in a hotel pool two days ago and it died about 10 minutes into my swim. I charged it and that brought it back for about 5 minutes. I used this watch hesitantly last Sept. in a pool where we were vacationing and had no issues. It seems fitbits only last a year then die. This is my 5th Fitbit in as many years. Please advise. Jan

I purchased 2 Charge 5 devices for me and my daughter, specifically to use as swim trackers.
We both use them for many hours per week in the pool, and neither of us has had any issues with water resistance.
