Charge 5 died

I put my Charge 5 on to charge last night, took it off this morning and by 1400 this afternoon it was dead.  I put it on charge when I got off and all it now displays is the blue Fitbit diamond.  It's been on charge for over an hour and doesn't respond to the reboot button on the cord.  Thoughts?

Ok, update.  It finally does show charged but I'm concerned about how fast it died.  Any solutions to prevent it?

And further update....  I took it off charge (at 100%) put it on and withing 30 minutes went back to showing nothing but the blue diamond.  Help please.  Is there an email I can use to contact fitbit?  I don't have time to sit around on live chat....
