Charge 5 dies when running

My Charge 5 is dying every time I go for a run, and have done so for approx 1½ month. It auto detects that I'm running, but after approx 10 mins it dies completely, and needs to be connected to the charger to wake up. It's not a battery issue. Battery is always +50%.

I cannot see any of the activity when I get it restarted.

Having the same (inconsistent) problem. Happens when it is cold (low 30s and below), but not always. Charge 5 is charged, dies somewhere on the run, and shows a 75%+ charge after I plug it in.

Hi there, @Cauldrone. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Charge 5 is draining quickly. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%.  Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning).

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend following the tips and recommendations provided here Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Thanks for replying. It's not a battery issue, as I also wrote. I'm pretty sure it's a software bug.
