Charge 5 does not save running workout

I select Run and the GPS is connected. Then I run. It seems okay but if the battery is low and the unit turns off, the workout is NOT automatically saved. In fact, it is lost. Yesterday, I completed my run and was just going to Pause and Finish my Fitbit Run when it told me there was 7% battery power left snd it shut down. The workout was lost. Very frustrating.

Thank you for sharing all the information about the issue you're experiencing with your Charge 5. 

Let me know if you're only experiencing this problem with a running activity or if it happens with other type of workouts. If you haven't done so already, please make sure to try the steps listed here below as well, as they have been useful for other users with similar problems: 

  1. Restart your device using the charging cable following these steps
  2. Set up your Charge 5 as a new device in your account. 
  3. If you continue to have the same problem, please try changing the clock face as well.
