Charge 5 drained after only a few hours

the other day i noticed my battery was totally drained after only a few hours. finally last night i was able to fully charge it and then a couple hours later when i went to bed it was flashing red lights from the sensor, the screen was flickering between black and the fitbit logo, and when i checked my app the battery life was at 36%. i figured i would just deal with it in the morning and now its not even responding at all when i plug it in. no screen wake, it vibrated ONCE and never again, i haven't even had the watch for that long and now i fear it's totally bricked and dead 😕

I am dealing with the same problem. Charge not holding through a 5-mile walk. Now after charging overnight, I have nothing but a blank screen. Have tried rebooting repeatedly. Sometimes I get a couple of flashes of the logo, but nothing else. This watch is less than a year old. Any suggestions?

Call CS to replacement!

Mine just did the same. It was at 68% charge, was working and then wasn't. First time I put it on the charger there wasn't even a flicker. Next day, I tried again and the logo came on briefly and then it said at 2% and then nothing. Will try CS but it just went over the one year mark and I am not too optimistic. I liked the Fitbit, too

Same problem here.  Charged, worked for about an hour this morning then got red circle with x inside.  Followed reset procedure, by pushing button on USB charging cable three times.  Fitbit buzzed and now only alternates between logo and blank screen.  Followed online suggestion to unpair and now it's gone forever!

Same here, I got my charge 5 not even a year, battery just drained and dead.  Contacted the service center that I bought the charge 5 and the center informed me that many owner complained regarding charge 5 battery.  If this is the case then fitbit need to do urgent improvement in the battery otherwise people will look to other brand.  I try to connect to the Live Chat, but it cannot get through.

Update:  Contacted customer support via chat.  They tried to debug problem - no luck.  Ended up offering a discount on a new device.
