Since moving from Charge 4 to 5, I no longer get a text notification to tell me that my battery is low - so twice recently on longer runs it ran out of power so no recording - I was gutted! I have battery warning notifications on but it doesn't work! Are others experiencing this?
Fitbit please fix this! I keep my charger at home so need a warning at 30%
thanks

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @SunshineSally9!
Sad to hear you're having an issue with your Charge 5.
As a first approach to hopefully get things fixed, I'd suggest restarting it. Before doing so you should make sure you've synced your device to not lose any data tracked so far. Also you should verify that the charging contacts on your device are clean and the charging pins on it's charging adapter are clean as well and can move flawlessly. In doubt please have a look here:
How do I clean my Fitbit device?
Next please closely follow these instructions as timing is crucial for this procedure:
1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a reliable power source.
2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charging cable 3 times within 8 seconds(!), holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait around 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on your device's display.
I'd like to point out that it sometimes requires more than one attempt to restart Charge 5. So, before throwing the towel, please give it another try.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Also -- swipe up on the clockface and you can see the charge level. Super fast way to check it.
If resetting the charge 5 as @Talahthas recommended doesn't solve the issue I'd delete the app off the phone and reinstall it.
Good luck!

Sorry I think my question wasn't clear - My issue is I am not getting texts notifications when the Fitbit battery is low and needs charging. So if I forget to check it can run out. But the notifications is switched on. So I don't think this is the right answer - I'll repost the question!

Try deleting the app off the phone and reinstalling it.

Thanks I have done that. But thinking about it - not sure Fitbit has my phone number to text???? but I am certain I did have text and watch notifications on my older model. I also chose not to link with Google - should I? Is this part of the issue??

I don't think it is literally a text -- if it is like mine (Android). It is an "in phone notification", i.e. the app sends a notification internally on the phone that then just displays on the screen.
The other thing you can, and should try (though it will delete all your configuration information). Delete the app on the phone. Then, delete the application cache data on the phone. Deleting the application cache data is going to be very specific for your phone, I can't help you with that. It'll take some googling.
If it was me, though, I'd just make a habit of checking the fitbit battery level on the fitbit itself every morning. I'd put the fitbit by the phone overnight so they're together in the morning...

Many thanks - I'll see how reinstalling the app has worked out and if not try out the above. Maybe it was the app that notified me in the past. We get too used to getting reminders! Appreciate your prompt replies
