Got the new charge 5 in hopes it would finally do my sleep score right. I loved my charge 4 other than the sleep score will work 1 night and then not for a week. I'm having the same issue already with the 5.

The same here! No sleep score or registrate daily activity. Watch says 78 minutes in activity zone but will not be registrate in daily activity(daily goal) so frustrating. Charge 4 had the same problem!

I wore my Fitbit 5 for the first time Sunday night, first i had many issues setting up, Bluetooth wouldn't complete, after many tries it did, now i am noticing and getting a message that is taking a long time to sync, when it completes, i don't see my sleep data from last night. Also noticed that a few other data points are not syncing, hourly activity was 100% met on device, and app is only showing 4 out of 9
Seems like this device is having similar connectivity issues, time to return?

Same here. Weirdly first night I wore it got perfect sleep score and worked well with showing the different stages without me doing anything. Since then, nothing. I've tried restarting the fitbit. Tried entering manually but then it just says I've been asleep from here to here 🤷:female_sign:

I’m having the same issue with not tracking sleep last night. I have no resting heart rate either.

i am having the exact same issue, along with no text notifications and no reminders to move. I'm really disappointed.I'm considering returning it as well.

So, I unpaired fitbit Bluetooth and repaired it. In Bluetooth settings chose contact sharing. Also wore fitbit higher up wrist. Got a sleep score last night. Yay! Not sure which of those things made the difference. Prob the Bluetooth unpairing and repairing...

I'm having similar issues. I've had the Charge 5 on for 4 days and 3 nights. While it seems to track my general Sleep Pattern every night, I don't get a sleep score or sleep stages. Also, my sleep related Health Metrics are more miss than hit:
Breathing rate (BR): 0 of 3 nights have data
Heart rate variability (HRV): 2 of 3 nights have data
Skin temperature: 0 data (says to wear it for 3 night, which was done)
Oxygen saturation (Sp02): 2 of 3 nights have data
Resting hear rate (RHR): 4 of 4 days
Last night I tried wearing it higher on my arm in hopes of better data, but instead that is the night I got 0 data.
This is my first fitness tracker, and while I don't require perfect function, I do want it to collect more data than not while sleeping. With the majority of sleep related items being blank, I'm not sure it's the best health tracker. If I can't get it resolve within my return window, it will be returned and I will have to start my search for better alternatives.

Hi, thank you for all the information that you've provided about your Charge 5 and welcome to all the new users in the Community forums, @Piolo108 @Elawbartle @Masshag @JAYDOUBLEU1975 @OHBit @Merete67norway.
It seems that most of you have already contacted the Customer Support team for further assistance and they've provided you with some instructions. It may be possible that the Charge 5 needs a few days to collect some information and provide sleep score, sleep stages and other information, but you should certainly receive all the basic sleep information.
In case you haven't done so already, make sure that you've tried to complete the restart procedure described here and check if you continue to experience the same problem in the following days. Regarding the sleep stages, please check all the requirements and troubleshooting steps in this article.
Keep in mind there are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:
Please check if you continue to experience the same inconvenience in the following days.
Keep me posted.

Thank you David .i found out three days ago that i can try to put watch in sleep mode while going to bed. I have now had sleep score the three last mornings. Should it be necessary to put it in sleep mode? I will try to not do that tonight and see if i Get sleep score tomorrow. Will keep you posted
--------------------------------
I forgot not to put it in sleep mode. Will try again tonight. Not to put it in sleep mode. Will come back tomorrow with outcome.

Yep same here, my sleep score worked the first night I had the Charge 5 (last Monday), then all other nights this week. Along with the rapidly draining battery I think this might be a return - I'll give it another week.

That should read - "....then NO other nights this week" 😁

Well here's a new one - when I clicked 'I'm awake' this morning, the app told me that my sleep was too short to calculate a Sleep Score (4hr 27min), but then it GENERATED A SLEEP SCORE! I give up 😂🤣

Makes no sense that it's tracking sleep but not generating scores. There's no way the band itself is generating the score.

@LanaMichelle @Merete67norway @icantremember welcome to the Community!
To generate a sleep score, it is best to let the device automatically detect when you are sleeping. It isn't necessary to tell it when you go to sleep and when you wake up. To learn more about sleep scores click here
