Hi there, @Mickydoolan66. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 5.

According to your post, it seems like your Charge 5 is not syncing. With that being said, please try the following steps:

  • Unpair your Charge 5 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Charge 5.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.
  • Once your Charge 5 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Once you manage to sync your Charge 5, the time should be corrected. Keep in mind that your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with.

Hello @Mickydoolan66

Since you're living in the future according to your Charge 5, let me know if you have any good stock tips. 😁

On a more serious note, I've seen where users were able to fix the incorrect time display by unselecting Automatic time zone, changing the setting to something else, performing a sync, then going back into the App settings, reselecting Automatic time zone and performing a sync.

In case you would like step-by-step instructions:

  • From the Today page in the Fitbit app, tap your picture/icon in the upper left to open the Account page
  • Swipe up and tap on App Setting under Settings
  • Tap on the dots next to Automatic time zone to deselect
  • Select a different time zone
  • Tap on the arrows in the upper left to return to the Today page and pull down to sync
  • Repeat the above steps and select Automatic time zone
  • Tap on the arrows in the upper left to return to the Today page and pull down to sync

You might want to also try deselect Automatic location in the App settings, change it to something else, perform a sync, go back to App settings, select Automatic location, and perform a sync.

Hopefully, this method will correct the date on your Charge 5.
