I have my GPS enabled on my iPhone, saw I was connected to GPS and started the cycling timer on my Charge 5 yet after cycling for 30 minutes, Charge 5 says unable to track my data because there was no GPS connection. I synced my phone right after cycling and after a few minutes it showed my time, bpm, cal/min burned but no distance. No matter how many times I try, I never get distance. I've turned my Charge 5 on and off, I've reset it and no change. Suggestions?

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @lm225.
Thanks for all the information provided about this inconvenience with your Charge 5.
Could you please confirm what is the GPS mode that you're using to track your activities? Go to the settings app on your device > GPS > and choose between Built-in GPS, connected GPS (using your phone's GPS sensors) and Dynamic. Let me know if you experience the same problem with all of the different GPS modes.
In the meantime, keep in mind that all devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. Your device uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a signal, so the total distance calculated for a workout may be slightly less accurate when GPS isn't available for the entire time. In particular, please make sure of the following:

Thank you for answering although I don't think your complete answer was displayed as it stopped mid-word after "Locatio" in the 3rd bullet point. I could not find anywhere on my iPhone that directs me to the different types of GPS you mentioned. Also, how else should I adjust wearing my Charge 5 tracker? I wear it on my wrist and my phone is nearby in a waist pocket.
I appreciate any and all help!

Hello @lm225
The GPS options are on the Charge 5 device, from the Settings menu:
You might find the information on this page helpful: How do I use GPS on my Fitbit?
Since you carry your phone with you on your bike rides, it looks like you should select either Dynamic or Phone for the GPS option. Hopefully, this will provide the distance metric that you've been missing.
