I did exactly the same 9 mile run today as yesterday but my charge 5 has recorded very different calories burned. There is a 200 calorie difference. Why is that?

Hi, @RunningKate , calories burned at rest are calculated based on your height, weight and sex. Those are called BMR (basal metabolic rate) calories. Beyond your BMR calories further calories burned from activities are calculated from your heart rate (with higher heart exertion burning more calories). Although you did the same run, it is highly unlikely that your heart rate was exactly the same today as yesterday. How your heart responds to exertion will depend on many factors - including how rested you are and what recent exercise you have taken.
