Charge 5 is tracking steps when I mow

Hi this has probably been asked a million times but I don't know or see it. I keep forgetting to take my Fitbit off when I mow. It is a few acres and I use a riding mower. It keeps thinking I am riding a bike. I removed the exercise but it did not remove the steps. Why would it count steps if I was on a bike anyway? So, those steps show up on Myfitnesspal and probably on Fitbit dashboard. I haven't looked there. So it messes up my calorie total. Is there anyway to back those steps out?
