If this is the case , it’s hard to believe Fitbit steps count or calories as we may ride/ travel couple of times a day. We cannot do manual correction all times. Is this the only solution available as of now or any fix Fitbit is providing ?

Hi @rk09 It's good to see you around in the community.
Thanks for the feedback provided regarding steps counts and calories.
As you mentioned earlier, unfortunately it is an expected device behavior at the moment for the device to count steps during a driving activity. There's currently not a Driving Mode feature to avoid these extra steps. However, I do recommend that you vote for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this is helpful for the team of developers to continue to track popularity and demand over time.
As @Julia_G mentioned, keep in mind that you can’t delete steps and floors; instead, you can log a non-step-based activity such as driving to override the steps or floors recorded; you can check this article for more information. Other users have also found useful to connect the device to the charger while driving, as this prevents the device from counting any steps, but this is more helpful for short drives.
On the other hand, the calories burned while you're not wearing the device will correspond to the basal metabolic rate (BMR), which is the rate at which you burn calories at rest just to maintain vital body functions like breathing, heartbeat, and brain activity. This is estimated based on the physical data you entered when you set up your account: sex, age, height, and weight. Make sure that all the information in your account settings is correct.
