The screen shows nothing. It is not registering data. Will not charge and there is 25% battery left according to the data in ipad. This all happened suddenly. Was working fine yesterday.

I woke up this morning to a dead Fitbit. It flashed the logo once, and it hasn't responded since. It won't reset or anything. The last one I had suddenly "bricked" about a year after I got it, and it's been almost another year since I got a replacement and it happened again. I think they are purposefully made to die right at the end of the warranty. I love it, but I guess I will have to change to something else, since this would otherwise become my third purchase in as many years. 😞

Hi there, @Oceanrower. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 5. I understand your concern. I will do my best to help you!

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend restarting your Charge 5 twice in a row.

@Sshelle Welcome on board! Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is still unresponsive. I understand how you must be feeling.

As per the description of your post, it sounds like your Charge 5 has run out of battery. P
lease note that sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working.  Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.

When it has had two hours, try restarting your Charge 5. I would recommend trying this maybe twice in a row if a first try doesn’t work.

If the above doesn't work, please see Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
