Charge 5 just deleted steps

I spent 2 hours on the treadmill today and had over 15,000 steps, but when I just opened by app I watched the 15,000+ steps suddenly go down to 5,452 steps!  What happened to my 10,000 steps??

I appreciate the information provided about this issue with your Charge 5. 

That's a bit strange, let me know if you're having issues to sync any other information. In the meantime, please try restarting your device using the charging cable as described here. In addition, you can manually log a walking activity to recover some of the steps that were lost due to this problem.
