Charge 5 keeps asking me to update it

The last couple of weeks my Fitbit Charge 5 has been performing an update out of the blue. It happened again last night before I went to bed and heart rate was the only thing measured overnight.

To the best of my knowledge, the firmware hasn’t been updated in a long time.

Has anyone been encountering this.

As a first approach, please make sure that your Charge 5 is indeed up-to-date. For more information, see How do I update my Fitbit device?

If your Charge 5 was properly updated to the latest firmware version but keeps asking you to update it, please restart your Charge 5 by following these steps.
