My Fitbit 5 is not even 2 yrs old and won’t hold a charge for more than a day and sometimes not even that. 
Yes, I’ve posted about this recently. I now am charging it every night. This is the second Fitbit I’ve had problems with, the other one just stopped working altogether.  If these watches have so many issues I would NOT recommend it to anyone

Just adding to my post....had watch plugged in for over an hour and the only thing that's happened is the watch was overheating! Battery % hasn't changed

My Fitbit keeps changing the amount it says its charged, going form 68% to 28% then back to 83% in the space of a minute. I can only see this because the screen keeps going black and it has to go on the charger to wake it up! 
I’ve tried resetting it but that hasn’t helped.
