Charge 5 keeps locking up

my Fitbit locks up regularly, and I can only unlock it by putting it on the charger!! how can i solve this problem? I have already performed a reset several times

My guess is that "they" quietly pushed out an update that broke things -
sort of like CrowdStrike! Of course, they will not admit it is their fault.

Came onto the forum to find a solution, as I have exactly the same issue. Keeps locking up sometimes after only 10 minutes, so is now totally useless as it is not worth using. I will buy another brand as this looks like a fault with fitbit software and not a particular device issue.

Maybe "they" fixed whatever they broke recently. It has now been almost three days without a lockup/restart of my Fitbit Charge 5.

So it has now been nearly a week without a lockup. However while my app has a nearly accurate step count for today, it also says it has not synced in over 9 hours (and shows no sleep data). I got the Vital Fit Tracker over the weekend, and have already applied for a refund. They do not want the tracker back, and will return half of what I spent! It also does not not track sleep (although it says it does, and does not allow me to answer phone calls).
